Apple’s Thunderbolt To FireWire Adapter Rolls Out To Online Stores

In need of FireWire on a Retina MacBook Pro? Don’t worry! Apple is ready to sell you something and give you back some FireWire action…

Apple is now rolling out the Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter in the online store.This new adapter will plug into a Thunderbolt port and allow you to connect any FireWire 800 device.

The adapter should be available now in all online stores, though some users report “page not found” errors when trying to access the page. If you see this error don’t worry, it will be available to you soon.

The new Thunderbolt to FireWire adapter is available for $29 and has a shipping estimate of 1-3 business days.

    Finally!!! Insta-ordered it! lol. Been waiting for this since I got my Retina MBP a month ago. Now I will be able to run my external hard drive through the much faster Firewire 800 instead of USB 2.0 🙂
