NEYRINCK V-Control – Pro Tools Controller – App Review – iPad

V-Control by Neyrinck is such an AMAZING app. Control Pro Tools over wifi on you iPad or iPad2. When I first downloaded this app I admit I was very skeptic. I thought, how can an iPad do a better job at mixing on the go then a mouse can? Well I sure did epically fail. It was a breeze to install this app. Downloaded it from the app store, downloaded their host software on my mac and I was linked in and ready to go.

Everything works straight over wifi. I admit it may work a little better if you have bluetooth turned off and create an Ad-Hoc network on your computer. But it does work, and with GREAT response. ZERO delay for me. I was able to arm tracks, solo, mute, pan I mean EVERYTHING. Anything I could possibly do on any other board for Pro Tools I could do with this thing. Neyrinck V-Control is a great Pro Tools Controller.

One great thing about this app is it supports mutli-touch. You also can swipe on it to bank your tracks.

One finger for One track, and two for Eight Tracks. Yeah thats right.. I said Eight! They managed to fit eight fully functional track faders on you iPad screen. And comfortably might I add.. Now it would be awesome if somewhere they were able to fit a trackpad on it haha, but I guess that’s asking too much. This app certainly take iPad Music Production to another level. And makes controlling Pro Tools with your iPad seem like childs play!

Below is a video Explaining some of the MANY features V-Control offers.
