If you’ve been thinking about picking up a Roku 3, stop thinking and get one. We’ve had about a week or so to play around with the Roku 3 and it’s a clear winner over the Apple TV 3. In my opinion, the Roku 3 is the best Apple TV competitor, but does that make it better? Recently, I picked up a Roku 3 to do some testing and comparisons between the two set-top boxes and was surprised at Roku’s wide variety of content. Apple’s rumored iRadio service could hit an iOS device near you as early as this summer, but it looks like something is holding it back. In other news, the Roku 3 was announced bringing much needed competition to Apple TV. Let’s hope Apple steps up its game for the Apple TV 4. Oh, and you can still download Netscape.

The next generation of Apple TV competitors is on the horizon. Roku has officially announced the Roku 3 packed with quite a few new features that may cause Apple to step up Apple TV a bit.
This is the last podcast for 2012. It’s been a great year and we’d like to thank all of you for listening! Rumor has it that Foxconn, also known as Hon Hai Precision, is testing a 46-55 Inch Apple HDTV. We’ve been hearing whispers of an Apple television for quite some time now, so what makes this rumor different than the rest?

I’m almost getting sick of these Apple HDTV rumors, but they’re so juicy! The latest rumor in the mill comes from The Wall Street Journal. According to them, Apple is indeed testing prototype television sets, but that it “isn’t a formal project yet.”
