This is basically a regurgitated article from a couple of days ago, but new claims are now in from more reliable sources. It’s been all but confirmed that the iPad mini will be launching soon, but Nov. 2, 2012 seems to be the magical release date.
Geeky Gadgets reports:
Our source, who is someone close to a major UK retailer, and has been reliable in the past, has told us that Apple will start selling the new iPad Mini on Friday the 2nd of November, the device will be available in the US And UK on this date, possibly some other countries as well.
Along with this report, TechCrunch has weighed in on the matter stating that their sources claim the same rumored release date:
November 2 is the ship date we’ve heard today from a source close to Apple’s supply chain, echoing an earlier report by Geeky Gadgets that that’s the day the iPad mini will go on sale. [...]
Our own source has also previously proven reliable with unreleased Apple info.
Even though these claims are just rumors for now, I’d say there’s a pretty good chance that you should have an extra $250-300 laying around if you plan on purchasing an iPad mini. I’d even guess that Apple will start presales next week at the keynote.
