[Rumor] Apple And Intel Working On An ‘iWatch’

I was very upset when Apple discontinued the sixth generation iPod nano design. The design change shot down most other rumors regarding an Apple iWatch and left us with a standard mp3 player design. Don’t lose hope though, according to a new rumor, it looks like we may get an iWatch after all.

Chinese site TGBus via Mobilegeeks.de [Google translation] reports that Apple has teamed up with Intel to bring a Bluetooth-enabled smart watch to life in early 2013. This watch is rumored to include a 1.5-inch OLED display and Bluetooth 4.0 integration.

Such a watch would integrate perfect with Apple’s revamped Bluetooth 4.0 iOS device lineup. The confusing part is why Apple would need Intel to create a smart watch. Could this just be a power-force team up, or does an Apple iWatch rely on something Intel has to offer? I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
