This week we take some time to discuss the rumors surrounding a redesigned flat version of iOS. Jony Ive has taken over UI design for iOS and this could mean that iOS 7 gets a complete redesign. Would a Metro style iOS 7 work? I’m worried about a new design, but I guess we’ll all have to wait for its unveiling at WWDC 2013.

Would you pay $600,000 for a cup of coffee with Tim Cook? No? Yes? Personally, I think that’s insane, but it is for a good cause. All of the proceeds are being donated to a charity, but still, that’s a lot of money for a Venti Mocha Frappuccino. Also, it’s possible we might see updated MacBooks at WWDC this year. If you’re the type that wears a tinfoil hat, you should probably stop using Siri. Apparently, Apple saves clips of your voice on a server for up to two years to analyze and help improve “other products and services.” While it doesn’t bother us I’m sure there are some people who will freak out because of this. Samsung recently announce the Galaxy Mega series of phones. At first, I thought a 6.3-inch phone was a joke, but it’s definitely real. In my opinion, Samsung is really close to having phones that are too big, but what do you think? I would look like an idiot holding an iPad mini to my face … what’s the difference?

Recently, I had a major issue on my jailbroken iPhone 5 running iOS 6.1.2. I was unable to get any apps to install from the App Store or download purchased music through the iTunes app. I figured out how to fix this problem and maybe it will work for you as well. Why does Apple hate physical gaming controllers? It seems that any controller SDK or device never makes it too mainstream. Sure, there’s iCade controllers, but I’m talking about console-style gaming. Give us analog joysticks and tactile feedback, Apple. I’ve seen quite a few gaming controllers come and go, but if this is something all of us want so bad, why is it so hard to keep alive?
