Apple Will Unveil a 4G LTE iPad According to Reuters

It would seem at this point it’d be pointless to try and confirm rumors as the iPad Event is tomorrow at 10AM PST.

But once more, we have one more party weighing in on the possibility of a 4G LTE iPad.

Recently Reuters reported that indeed Apple will unveil a 4G LTE iPad at tomorrow’s event. According to analysts familiar with the technology, a 4G iPad is something consumers would probably be willing to pay more to have. Personally I don’t know if I would pay more for LTE technology. If Apple is going the 4G LTE path, then that would almost lock in a 4G LTE iPhone 5. I would hold out until the iPhone 5 when I can use WiFi tether to connect to my new iPad 3 or iPad HD.

But either way, here’s the scoop…

Here’s what UBS analyst John Hodulik had to say about a 4G LTE iPad ,

“It’s going to dramatically improve video consumption,”

“This is the device people want. They want the fastest speed. They want high resolution.”

Now while I completely agree with both of those statements, we won’t really know until the iPad Event. Whether is be an iPad 3 or an iPad HD, we are soon sure to find out what technology this new glorious tablet will bear.

According to Reuters, Apple, Verizon, and AT&T declined to comment on the topic.

Though let it be known that Reuters does insist that the next generation iPad will include 4G LTE technology.

The newest iPad will be capable of operating on a high-speed 4G “LTE,” or Long-Term Evolution network, according to a source familiar with the product. At speeds roughly 10 times faster than current 3G technology, that may go a long way toward banishing the sometimes shaky video quality of older devices.

Would having 4G on an iPad give you more of a reason to shell out the extra cash?
